Today I recieved a Letter from My sister!!
Some of you might think, okay yeah so whats so great about that? well here is the story!
When I was 5 yrs old, my mom had a baby, being a single mother, living with her father, and already supporting one child on her own, my mom decided it would be best to place the baby up for adootion! Well I was told all of this at the age of 16, after a few years of dealing with the news that I had a sister, I finally asked my mom for copies of all of the Adoption paperwork, so I could find her. I was given this paperwork 6yrs ago. It took me only 1 week to locate her! Her adoptive parents still lived, at the same address, that they did when they adopted her. so after a few quick searches, on the net, I decided to send her arents a letter explaining who I was, and requesting permission to contact, since I wasnt sure if she even knew she was adopted, and I wanted to make sure It was okay with them,a nd that I was not Interferring with her life. I waited and waited, for a reply, after 6 months, it finally came! My sister wrote me a letter, saying how exciting it was and wanting to know as much about me and my family as she possibly could. So I wrote back to her, sent her pictures, and that was the last i heard from her. Needless to say, i was dissapointed, but still respectfull and didnt want to push the issue.
Well today, after 6 long Years, i got a letter from my sister again, saying how she was trying to figure out, if she realy wanted contact with me. I am sure it is such a difficult thing to deal with, so I a by no means angry! I am just so happy, that she has decided to once again contact me! She says she wants to keep in contact, and sounds like she has a great life for herself! I am just so excited!
I hope this makes some sense? I am so emotional right now, and the tears just wont stop! I just had to share this news with all of my great friends!!
