Yes, we DID go. Sorry, I didn't have a camera with me, so you'll have to wait for KAK or Wolflady to sign in.

Not a very big show, but there were LOTS of Persians and other longhairs. I chatted with a lady who was brushing her three Himalayans for the show ring: "They're definitely not wash-and-wear cats." Meanwhile, one hooman slave to an orange Maine coon was trying to keep up with his grooming... he insisted on doing his own, and she kept having to re-comb the spots.

We also spotted a white Oriental who was a close match for Wolflady's soon-to-be kitty Hunter. Wolflady got some information from the owner as to size, so she could choose a carrier for her new prince.

KAK and I stayed for the finals in Household Pet. The judge admitted that she enjoyed the HHP division, because she could just ignore breed specifications and choose the cat that she liked the best. The winner, a brown tabby-and-white shorthair, climbed up on her shoulder and purred. I picked one of the others, a silver tabby-point medium-hair girl named Gromit (!), for the People's Choice award.

Best bumper sticker I saw for sale: SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CAT HOUSE.

Lots of fun. Now I have to get back to looking for a job.
