His blood protein levels are very low.
She mentioned long term intestinal issues and was hesitant to say it could be parvo but she didn't rule it out. She sounds like she wants to be optimistic and told me how she doesn't see parvo very often in adult dogs. But it's just not looking good.
She asked me to monitor him and bring him in for more Sub Q fluids at 9 a.m. She mentioned putting him on antibiotics. She also said he may need protein transfusions which he'd need to go to MSU for.... I'm not sure.... everything she said was such a blur.
Like she instructed I gave him his meds at 6 p.m. He refused the ID at 6:45 (she called just before I was going to give it to him). He then got me and went to the door at 6:50. More bloody diarreha. He vomited twice at 7.
I'm going to cook myself up some chicken and see if he's interested.
My heart is breaking.
