Don't worry Amy I got through the same thing with my neices friend and actually my niece sometimes who teases the dogs all the time and then wonders why I don't like her play with them. Scary thought though is that my nieces friend just got a kitten and they live next door if she teases the cat or does some of the stuff that I've stopped her from doing to the dogs (Ie. hitting Smudge on the head with a shoe) to the cat all I can say is poor thing.
