Cybersibes,
I just got off the phone with my friend Clare from the Bill Wilson House in Vermont. I explained my situation to her. I told her that I know how busy it gets at the house and how short staffed they are and she agreed. I asked her if she thought Bonnie would allow me to work (volunteer) at the house in exchange for room and board, and allow me to bring my cats (which I know she won't have a problem with since Mollie Rose is a Wilson House cat). She seemed very upbeat about it and to call Bonnie tomorrow. I plan on driving up there next weekend to sit down and talk to Bonnnie in detail and see what, if anything, can be arranged. I absolutely LOVE that house and all the people in it. My needs would not be much as my car will be paid for (FINALLY!!!!) in the next month. I would just need enough for gas (which I'm sure is ALOT cheaper in VT) and cat stuff. I can always get a part-time job at a local store or a BB&B if there is one in that area. Plus I can CERTAINLY use the meetings. I wouldn't be far from my daughter or friends at all, and will surely make new ones. Hmmmm, I wonder if this is my HP's way of telling me that is where I need to be??? Ya think?????
Jen,
My daughter already made it perfectly clear that I couldn't stay with her (even though she has a 2 bedroom apartment). When I wanted to come home from MI the first time I asked and she said no. We didn't speak for a couple of weeks on that one. Nice, huh??
As far as me finding a roommate for this place, the rent is $1200/month and as it is, I don't have a full-time job to take care of my share of it.
I'm sorry I sounded like such a whining baby last night, but this whole thing just hit me like a ton of bricks. See what a good night of NOT sleeping will do????
Thanks everyone for being so supportive. It means so much to me to know that I've got such great friends from all around the globe.
Keep your fingers crossed and those prayers coming.
