We had her tested for thyroid, because that was the vets first thought also. We had a specialist do the tests on her blood, in CA., he is said to be the best in the states. But the report came back perfect, normal, not high or not low, as all the blood work has.
It's just as your assuming, the undercost or white and tan parts of her hair doesn't grow. Only the pigmented hair, dark tan, as if she were a dalmation and the black spots are growing.
The PCA seems to take up to 24 months to regrow, if it does, and she looks so bad. Our poor girl. It's only been a month since we started to let her grow out. She has a long road ahead of 'bad hair days'.
