Thanks everyone.

I have taken a team out looking for him and I'm heading out again. Delta isn't a sled dog, but seeing his buddies might get his attention. Or maybe he can follow their scent home. I've taken Heyoka out for several walks. Delta spends a lot of with Heyoka. I've taken Antare too. Antare is coming in the team today too.

I've called every musher around here, even the ones I don't actually know. One of them is leaving the gate to his dog yard open at night, just in case Delta goes in there. His yard is not far off the trail we run quite often.

I've searched every inch of this property--every shed, every car, every little dang thing he could possibly hide under. He's not on the property. We've figured out how he got out anyway. The driveway gate was pushed just a tiny bit open. Ozzy was apparently loose too, but a neighbor who knows him put him back in the yard before we got home. Gates have since been rebuilt so there is no way to move them at all.

Thanks for the offer to help look, mtn_chick. I'll let you know!

We have a friend who is an animal communicator. It sounds nutty, but she's been trying to talk to Delta. She's done some Tellington Touch work with him so she knows him a little. She believes he's still alive, not particularly far away. She kept getting images of a large open space so we've been to the two local golf courses. One of them keeps a dog team on the premises. They are on the look-out for him too. The other one is closed for the winter and there was nothing but moose tracks on it.

I'm going to run the team through a cleared area today. It's also the last trail Hoodoo ever ran with us and today is the anniversary of his death--not the exact date, but he died on the Sunday of our local winter festival. I always run that trail today.
