Yes! We got my first dog when I was two. We re-h0omes him when I was seven (NOT my choice, but at the time flea treatments were limited mostly to chemical ones and my mom was pregnant. )

After that, we were dog-less until I was about 11 and we founf a stray cocker on the road, We didn't end up keeping him but we got Star not long after that.
