I have a ringneck parrot who is always in mischeif. He spends alot of time out of the cage he would have it no other way. He is all over the house even goes from room to room. He has a play area but nothing seems to keep his interest very long we have tried everything. He eats with us we give him his own plate but he still choices to steal things from our plate.
Benji is like part of the family we love him dearly. He has never learned to talk but he will immitate sounds or laughing at you little things. And he has heard us say 'no Benji' so much he only hollows back 'ankk' as if his way of saying no.
He plays with lots of energy but we do not leave him unattended more than a minute or when you go back into the room believe it or not theres nothing left of it. And if you talk on the phone or to someone believe it or not he gets louder than you and when you be quiet he will too then look at you I suppose this is attention. But he gets plenty of that.
But his dancing and prancing and setting down watching videos of music with me and tugging at my shirt sleeve till I give him a bite of whatever I am eatting makes up for all of it he is very bonded to me more than anyone he is easy to bond with humans but not other birds. We could use with a little less of his destructive self? Any ideals besides kill the bird?
