Train travel dog seeks new home

A dog with an adventurous spirit is looking for a new home after taking a 300-mile train trip then finding out her owners didn't want her back.
Gypsy Rose, a lurcher, ran away from her home in north Wales and, for some reason, jumped on a train to Crewe.

She seemed to develop a taste for rail travel and went on to catch two more trains - to Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy.

Gypsy Rose's owners were eventually traced, but they no longer wanted her, so she's now staying in kennels.

An animal charity spokesman said: "Lurchers are very intelligent dogs and she obviously wasn't frightened of trains.

"It would appear she bonded with various people and joined them as a fellow passenger.

"The potential for danger was very high but thankfully she came to no harm."
