I wish I had known that about a week ago. There is a woman on one of my online adoption groups whose husband is in China picking up their son who is 3. She made sure her husband had words and phrases in Mandarin, and their son speaks Cantonese! They should be returning to the US this weekend, and seem to have made it through just fine. (My apologies for the momentary thread hijack.)
