Thanks. Actually, they're both male dogs (I've heard the male/female thing as well).

When we went to look at Jet one more time, Smudge seemed to be more willing to play so they had more fun.

Of course, just as we were about to leave, we saw a really sweet snuggle-bunny of a girl dog (who we couldn't really interact with as she just got neutered and was sore from surgery).

So, the decision will be between (1) a snuggly female who is a bit quiet (and more like Smudge's temperament and (2) a frisky make pup who is a typical crazy pup (and looks exactly like our dog - funny). I am a sucker for the snugglebunny pup but perhaps Smudge might actually prefer the hyper pup because Jet will bring out the puppy in Smudge whereas the other dog may just be the same quiet shy dog as Smudge. Not sure what to do.

Will have to see Smudge and the other pup interact next weekend. I'm coming home with one of them....
