Tito does it on his "extra" toes (I can't remember the name for the extra toe on the hind paws). I usually don't let him because I am scared he wil chew too much off.

On a side note, he HATES having his nails clipped or anyone touching his paws. He starts screaming!!! It's the strangest noise I have ever heard come from a dog.
