Wow! They look really great! They make your hair look a lot brighter and shinier. I'm glad they didn't turn out like mine did. Awhile ago, I bought a do-it-yourself kit and my friend Joyce and I got to work. They were BRIGHT RED and everywhere! I kind of went overboard. Although my boyfriend liked it, I hated it.

I bleached the top of my hair blonde a couple of weeks ago, and it is dark brown underneath. I think it looks pretty cool.

I have colored my hair since high school, so for 10 years, and highlited a few times on my own. Just recently I got Salon highlites for the first time. I really liked them, my mom liked them so well, she got them too!

Thanks everyone!! I wonder what my parents are going to think.
Both of my parents are gone to MI. They'll be coming back tomorrow, arriving Sunday. They have absolutely no idea.
We've tried contacting them, and Lauren spoke with them briefly tonight. I have not talked to them, nor have they called me ONCE. This is what they get, and if they don't like it, too freakin bad!
We've also thought of piling up the garbage in the driveway, putting for sale signs on the house & my mom's car, keeping the dishes in the sink, buying a blonde wig for me to wear (They'd totally freak), and all sorts of other things.

I think it looks good. Hopefully your parents won't freak out too much.
I usually do red highlights in the winter months and then go back to blonde in the spring and summer. My husband prefers the red (I think he has a thing for auburn haired women) but everyone else prefers me with blonde.

What's really strange is I'm getting my hair hightlighted next thursday and I was thinking of doing that color. I've had my hair done once last year they where light blonde highlights which made my hair color a light brown with streaks of blonde and, because I have natural highlights, blondeish tips. I'm think that the red would balence it out more.
