Then my mom mentioned how she wants to go to MI this year -- sometime around the fourth of July.. and said we could maybe make a meeting around that time.. Well see.


I'm printing out the registration form for Findlay now.

Oh I was so hoping to see you in May. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that you will be able to make it sometime this year.

Oh, Amber, I wish you wouldn't feel that way. Of course we would want to talk to you. I would love it if you came. I brought Dee Dee with me and I'm pretty sure she had a good time. Dee Dee is 12 and she seemed to do well with the adults. Most of all she loved the dogs and playing with them. Which is what it was all about for her. Most importantly, if your parents ever let you come, you should give it a try. You won't ever know unless you come. I also consider myself a shy and quiet person. I may be able to get on here and chat like crazy but in person I get nervous and am afraid people won't like me and I am not very good at making conversations. I do have to admit that I am getting better at it and that is because I finally realized that I also have to be willing to make the effort. I have learned that I can't stand back and just expect people to come to me. They don't know I'm shy and nervous they might think I am just being stand-offish. It is hard, I know! I mean it has only taken me close to 40 years to figure this out....lol. In this case remember that you are at a dog park with pet talk people and if you can't think of any conversation or small talk you can always talk about the furkids...lol...that one always works! I was scared to death the first time I went, but I knew I loved seeing all those dogs and watching Katie run with them. I thought it was awesome. I also got to meet Karen and Paul the pet talk founders. That was exciting! This last meeting was my third one and I have felt more comfortable at each one. The people are great! So nice and willing to help out if you need it. My Katie acted like a big butthead that day and no one made me feel bad or gave me disapproving looks and if you have read any of the posts here they have already told me to bring her back and try again and we will figure something out. Super, Super Nice People! Just think I wouldn't have got to find that out if I had not went that first time and went back again and AGAIN! Ok, I will stop now. See I can get really chatty on here...lol...so much easier to do for some reason.

Angie, if you are reading this. I really do hope that you will come back and give us another chance. Buddy and Sierra are beautiful and I would love to see them again. BOTH of them! I also miss their pics here on Pet Talk. Please give it another try.

Yay! I was pretty sure I had that right. But...I couldn't find a single pic of Cincy I thought I took several pics of all the dogs. Cincy gets double camera time next visit!

I'm almost positive that we'll be going. My dad knows not to break promises with me, and he wouldn't say anything about it unless we were going. Atleast that's how it's been from past experience.

Robin you got some really GREAT shots!!!!

I just wanted to add...when I went to the meeting, I was also one of the younger people and I'm very quiet. I probably came off as snobby/stuck up to some (I get that a lot) but it wasn't intentional, I'm just shy. However everyone was very friendly with me and I had a GREAT time. Nebo was being a bit of a brat too (and he's very talented at spilling all the water! ) but nobody was rude to me or anything like that. I would absolutely go again if I could, and to those who are *thinking* about going...you should! And those who tried and don't want to go again, that's unfortunate...maybe give it another try? It's always hard meeting people for the first time!

I didn't talk much either.. I just kind of stuck around with my dad or Amy and Melissa.
