I'm strongly leaning that way. So you guys like that one better than Sophie? I feel guilty about Brandon though. I know thats silly and I don't know why I feel that way. Its not like he is a little kid or something. I mean he is 20 years old!

I do like Sophie better than Jasmine, but both names are great!

To answer your first post, i do like Jazzy, i think it fits her...she has that look in her eye that says Jasmine to me...i think of Sophie for more of a smaller, curly haired dog, LOL

To answer your second question, on why we are up so late...i just got done posting about maybe getting a Swissie rescue companion (female) for Dale...it is under dog general...

...but i am just about to hit the hay...tired!!

Again, congrats on the lil bit

Oh, Robyn, a swissie rescue! That would be so fantastic!!! I hope it all works out for you. To be honest, I thought maybe our next dog would be a rescue dog. Who could turn down a birthday gift like this though! In a way though I do feel like Alden saved her. I mean she wasn't living in the worse of situations but she was an outdoor pup with no shots and completely filthy and she now has a good home and lots of love. Who knows what might have happened to her. I never understand why someone has a dog running around like that and NO SHOTS!!!!

I have to apologize to everyone! I have been so wrapped up in myself and my job and the new pup and Katie that I have missed a lot of threads and I'm sure i'm missing lots of good stuff and great pics. I have got so much catching up to do! I haven't even seen all the findlay dog park pics and posted my own and I think I actually have a few good shots from there. There is just never enough time!!

I did the same thing the first night we got Abbey (she was our second). I cried and cried, thinking Kito would never be the same, and that we had made a terrible mistake. But then I cried because I had already fallen in love with Abbey........

I'm glad to hear everything went well at the vets.

    I like Jasmine.

I like Jasmine too!!! And my sister's baby girl, Jasmine was born on Janurary 12. Seems to be the name that fits for baby girl born in January

Glad the vet visit went well. You just keep rambling on, Robin. We love the updates!!!

Ramble any time you feel like it Robin, I love hearing of all the fun your having

You know after all the problems naming this sweet thing, your going to know just what fits her. If it's Jasmine then I wouldn't feel bad about naming her that instead of Sophie.

Can't wait to hear what her name is

P.S. I would have never been hurt if you would have decided on Keisha, I love that name

Unfortunately no. I had my back turned and suddenly heard a commotion...turned around and saw that it was Kia and Katie going at it. As far as I know there were no treats or toys about... I told my vet about it yesterday and she said, "They were having a conversation.....with teeth."

    Oiy.

Kia's had tiffs before with Roxey and Keegan, but those times she was being protective of me. This was her first rough and tumble.

I'm sorry that Katie got hurt. Is her ear okay?

By the way.... dogs on leashes tend to be a little more uptight around dogs that are loose, I've found. It's because they know they can't get away if need be and they go on the defensive.

Well...... I like Jazzy for dog's name but I am not crazy about Jasmine since my grandbaby is Jasmine. But that is silly because lots of people have Katie's, Jack's, Sadie's as children's names. I like Sophie but I don't think you should name your dog that just because Brandon likes it. After all it is YOUR dog and no matter what any one including any of us says, it should be YOUR choice. I highly doubt if any of us are going to be terribly hurt if you pick a name that we either had for a RB dog, a future dog or even a grandchild. We are all way tooo happy for you and your new baby!!!

As for choosing dog's names, the reason ours, except for Oreo, have the ones they do is because they came with those names. It probably would have been easy to change Snoopy or Taggert but we couldn't come up with anything we liked better so they stuck. (And Snoopy is one of the snoopiest dogs alive). Naming dogs, I think, is one of the hardest things to do.

I have found that to be true too - that is why I try to get people coming in to the dog park to let their dogs off the leash as they are coming in. It has to be very intimidating for a dog on a leash to come into a mass of loose dogs greeting him. You can see it as we approach the park along that trail. The dogs growl and fight to get through the fence at each other. Then when you enter they sniff each other and take off in all directions. Dazzi does it even with dogs she knows and gets along with - I guess it's just that thing - I'm tied up and your free but if I wasn't tied up and wanted too I could beat your @$$.

    FINALLY...WOO HOO!!!!!

Yes, A name has been chosen.

It has taken me forever but today I finally found one that we all liked which for some reason was important to me.

    Here it is:

    Lady Victoria Rose

    Tori

Boy, I feel such relief. I was really stressing out about this one. I think I was having trouble because I really haven't had time to spend with the puppy because it was all about Tori and Katie. I finally put Katie outside for a bit and we had some alone time with Tori and that really seemed to help me out. Thanks for all your help!!!

Uh, Kay...work some more of your magic whenever you get the time...hehehe.....Thanks!

    Robin

BTW...Katie's full name is Lady Katherine Lee. I think the 2 names go well together. Victoria Rose and Katherine Lee. I like it!
