Smelling the citris blossoms. Playing in the yard with my dogs. Enjoying the Sun. Opening the windows for my cats. Taking my birds outside for sun. Spring is my favorite time of the year!!!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Seeing that the irises are blooming outside my kitchen window

Walking Oreo in the evening while it is still light out--no flashlights or reflectors needed anymore

The many lizards sunning in the backyard
    Oreo and Molly

  4. The feeling of renewal. So many people have mentioned the desire to make things clean and fresh to go with the season (including me! )

    Now...back to my cleaning!

Uncovering the motorhome in anticipation of our first trip of the season - which is this weekend!!! Yippee!

Even though it's supposed to be rainy (which is another pleasure instead of snow) it's supposed to be warm....and I'm getting new cabinets in the motorhome! I'm so excited! Terry's actually on his way already and I'll be joining him late tomorrow night.

Oh, and also, I'm like Jo, just being able to wake up when it's not pitch dark outside is enough for me.

Picnics on the beach, when it's still not *quite* warm enough there for most people so they're almost empty.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

What, Richard, does the Jasmine plant just run by the door and you reach out and catch it?

The flowering trees - plum, cherry, apple...

Bulbs - the dafodills are in full bloom and the tulips aren't far behind.

Just being able to be back outside again - housework and laundry can wait for a rainy day. Also, by working out in the yard its a time to reconnect with neighbors since we've all be sequestered inside.

Daylight - less than two weeks until daylight saving time - my favorite day of the year.

These are not the droids you were looking for

    smart arse!

Here in CA we don't have a lot of the spring stuff that goes on in your neck of the woods! One sad thing is seeing the pollution take it's toll on the plants out here....we had scads of eucalyptus trees that have long since died....I miss those trees!

We have some jasmine plants in the neighborhood that have started to perfume the area, that is a wonderful smell, especially when the breeze picks up late at night.

That was one thing I was thinking about too, Corinna. I love the smell of fresh turned dirt.

I love seeing the trees blooming, they look so beautiful! Spring is my favorite time of year!
