How sad for her, and happy that you took her in. I bet that was a strange site to see her just staring at wall and the shed like that. I guess at first you wanted to see what was so interesting about the shed!

That is an amazing story with a very good ending.

She's looking so much better, so much healthier and happier. I have never heard of an Alzheimer's diagnosis for a dog, but my vet had talked to me before about canine dementia or basically, senility in dogs. My Cody had some milder symptoms as he got older. He would cry and get anxious when I left the room for a moment and various other mild things that were totally unlike him in his youth. The vet suggested St. John's Wort for him, but I remember him talking about medications out there for it too. He said there was more and more research going on about how to help it.

Well, sorry for the rambling there. She is looking wonderful, and congrats on your 3000+ posts now!

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

You have done a great job with Aneko. You are a wonderful person to have taken this little doggie in and given her a good home and brought her back to health. God was smiling on her the day you found her. Congratulations on that and also your 3000th post!!
