    Cat Anxiety Relievers, Stress meds?

Ok, I wanted to know what some of you have used or know people who have used anti-anxiety suppliments, for like when an animal goes to the vet, or has to travel, to help keep them calm.
    Things like Rescue Remedy.

I wanted to know if any of you have found an OTC anxiety med to work for you animals, if so which one, and where did you find it.
I will also need one that is safe for the animal to take every day.

Some of the ones I know of are.

    Pet-Eze
    Calmative Supplement
    M & C Serene-UM Pet Relaxer
    Francodex Pet Sedate
    Good Cat!
Richard's Organics Pet Calm Kava Kava Root
    ActiPet Anxiety FreeTM
    HomeoPet Remedies
    Azmira - Calm & Relax
    Rescue Remedy
    Vita Treat - Pet Calm

    Or any others....

    Thanks!

I've used the Rescue Remedy and it seemed to help a little, I think, it's just so hard to tell sometimes.

I've stopped using it so I really couldn't say if it works or not.

You can actually get prescription meds from your vet for such instances as travelling and vet visits. Valium actually worked for one of our cats really well.

I have already spoken with the doctor at my practice, but I informed him that I didn't want any heavy perscription drugs because my cat has not done well on these formally, and I would need something that was safe for every day use.

He told me to try the Benydril so I guess I'll just see how that goes.

Sorry Angel I've been kinda out of the loop. How come your kitty needs meds like this??
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
