I have 2 dogs. I think if I had a bigger place to live, & a bigger yard though, I would have at least 2 more

I love dogs strangly my mom has a thing for animals... its like a phobia.... but she cant stop me from accomplishing my dream.... TO BECOME A VET!!!

Just speaking of myself, I don't think I could ever have more then 5 dogs...and that's even pushing it. When I have my own house I'd like to have at least 3 siberian huskies. I do have 3 dogs right now, but Nebo is the only one who I take care of completely...he's my responsibility, and I have to provide food, vet, grooming, etc. etc. for him. It's a considerable amount of time and money. I can't imagine myself having many dogs and being able to provide them the individual attention I do to Nebo. I think it does depend on the person. Just remember each dog also comes with a large amount of time and money.

Well I lived on a farm we used them for herding sheep and cattle! And trust meit is hard!

Well, I have four dogs, but I think if I had a big enough yard, and everything else a dog needs, I agree with Amy, I think I would only get 5 dogs max.

I have three dogs and at the moment that number is in a holding pattern.

As for the law that requires people to get a permit in some parts of Canada (like Edmonton I believe) it's called the Noah's ark law...don't know much about it only really know the name for it. All I know is that in Calgary it's not in effect.

I have six dogs and thats my max number of dogs i would have!
If you can afford everything for them and provide plenty of equal amonts of attention to each dog i dont think its unfair on them! i think twenty pet dogs is a bit extreme though!
