I was thinking about leaving a collar w/tags on during the day..just in case he slips out the door or something but I've decided not to because it'll ruin his fur. So instead..we just taught him not to go out unless we ask..or else he's in BIG trouble.

    tags all the time

there was the time alex the wonder dog opened the sliding door BY HIMSELF and went for a walk. i got him back cause of the 2 tags, one with my number, which was busy- i was calling for search reinforcements- and the vets, and the vet-god bless her- sent one of her techs to pick him up. and there was a story in the local paper last week, 2 dogs, after their house was broken into, wound up over a mile away from home.-they jumped into a car at a local mickey d's and refused to get out, the cops were able to take them home, and that's how the found the robbery. so my response is 24/7/365, except for baths, then right back on.
maybe a tag with the tag bolted to the collar part itself for mr binks?

Rather a doggie 'stuck' to the floor, than one wondering the neighorhood without ID! We are going to try some variations on the ID..but, ID it is 24/7/365.

    Thanks!!!

There are always dogs running around my neighborhood without tags and it drives me nuts! They are not homeless, just dogs that get out but when I check for tags they never have a phone number for me to call their owners.

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

I have found a place here in the UK where you can get collars embroidered with your phone number, which sounds a good idea to me! I think I will get one for Bob and Ebby...well, maybe not Ebbs, cos she won`t wear a collar!

I don`t know any details about costs and ordering, from here or the US, they have an email address for that. Anyway, here`s the link if anyone is interested.
