Wow Mugsy!! I'll have to give him those figures!!!

Abbey is acting like a crazy dog today. She wants to run around, play, and keeps stealing jerky from my little brother. I can tell she's a little sore, but she's eating regular, going potty regular, and acting like her goofy self. She is also taking her pills like a good girl (with a little help from the cream cheese), and all around, you wouldn't know she had an injury. She is still playing with Kito a little (she likes to play with Riley better anyway), and everyone (including the hubby) seems back to normal.

That's great to hear, and honestly, not all that surprising. I'm glad Abbey is feeling better.

Hope Abbey is feeling better now. That's a big owie! I would just avoid the situation again.

I am so lucky that Killian and Shiloh do not fight each other. It would not be a pretty sight. They love each other and there may be big time posturing going on, but no one ever gets hurt. At the sound of the first yelp, if there is any, all action stops and kisses start flying (very funny to see).

Oh poor Abby. That looks like a nasty bite. And those bones..I do believe they would have caused a battle between my two as well.

    Re: a few pics...

Rocky says you have to dust the bone for paw prints.
He said he will be very happy to do this for
you but he will need that meaty bone first.

Sheba and Pepper are sending ouchie goodwishes
    to Abbey.

Chester and Millie say they love each other very much, but somebody would get their butt kicked over that big, yummy looking bone! We have learned the hard way that anything worth fighting over is worth getting rid of. We've had some pretty nasty stuff happen with yummy bones, too. Now all they get are Booda Bimples and Veggie Dental bones from Petsmart. Nothing worth fighting over about those

Glad that sweet Abbey girl is feeling better and hope there's no hard feelings between them

Emily,I am so sorry for all that you all have been through.Poor Abbey.I can't give mine even raw hide around Byakko she is to food possesive. She is definatly a queen shiba.I give her treats like that in her crate when I am gone and she is seperated. They are fine with stuffed animals and balls but no food treats together, she is to possesive and will start a fight whereas the others will not. That did look like one yummy bone to a pupper.I work on her food issues when I am right there with individual treats for sitting and things but I am hypervigilent then and realize that she will never be 100% safe. She is definately my unpredictable one and part of that is the breed.I am so sorry but I am happy that Abbey seems to be feeling better and everyone is getting back to normal..Kito is so gorgeous-nope doesn't look like a bully to me, but don't forget I own a shiba so I know the truth

    Ahhhh....

    That'll do it!

I bet Angus would protect a bone like that with his life

Like Sue said, "big owie!" Glad she's feeling better.

Give kisses all around from me!

Sorry to hear about the fight, but glad everyone has "calmed" down and you don't have to pick between hubbie and Kito

Collected my pups from the Glorious doggie kennels yesterday, and they were in seperate runs!!??
Turns out Captain had a "hissy fit", and bit Ruby! Apparently, there was blood, but her screaming in pain made the entire kennel staff come running to see ............ this teeny, tiny little cut on her nose!

I know what happened, she wanted to PLAY,PLAY,PLAY, and Captain was fed up and could not GET AWAY!!!

I had a talking to Captain, and pointed at Ruby's nose ....... he looked all sheepish ..... and Ruby looked all pathetic.

Of course, NOW they are best of friends!!!

Kito - yummy bone does not = bite Abbey!!! Naughty!

Awww poor Abbey!!! I'm glad to hear she's feeling better!

My dogs would certainly have some bloodshed over that bone too! Nebo is somewhat food aggressive....I always keep Reggie and Smokey away from him when he's eating, especially if it's something like rawhide. He's snapped at them over it!

As cranky and dominant as Maddie can be, I never had any
issues with bones between Maddie and Murph, until I got Oz.
And it's not with Maddie, it's Murph. Mister happy go lucky,
submissive Murph, has growled and snapped over the rawhides
in the last few months. Oz seems to bring out the competitive
side in Murph, so I decided no more bones. And although he
outweighs Murph by 3 times, I'm more afraid Oz is the one who's
gonna get hurt. He always seems so baffled whenever he
prompts aggression from M&M and then his reaction time is so
slow. I can easily see him getting his nose bit.

    Glad Abbey's feeling better.

That's some bite! Just keep the hydrogen peroxide handy and pour it on! That's what we use. Also, a baby aspirin would probably help the pain.
