They kept her over night last night, not too sure how she's doing now. Dad said she had a mini stroke. Thank you everyone for the comments and thoughts.

    Glad she is getting better

KayAnn I am all too familiar with strokes, having a dad, a father-in-law and a brother-in-law who have had them. Fortunately today there is lots that can be done and if it's a mini-stroke there is probably no long term disability. Hang in there and give your Grandmom our love. Please do keep us posted and here's more {{{hugs}}}.

I agree, a mini-stroke is lots better than a full-blown stroke! Hopefully they'll find out why it happened, so can prevent any more, and your Grandma recovers fully. We'll be thinking of her, and your family.

I'm so sorry KayAnn. I hope that she will be alright.

My grandmother keeps getting rushed to the emergency room too She's spent more time in the hospital than at home during the past few months. She has cancer (among several other things). So I know how scared you are.

I will keep your family in my prayers.

Thinking of you, Grandma and your whole family. It's a good thing she was sent this little warning. With a little care and lots of love, she can prevent a more serious setback. Hugs to you KayAnn.

KayAnn, I just saw this thread. I hope your grandmother has suffered only minor effects from her mini-stroke and that she recovers fully. I know there is progress being made in stroke prevention and treatment.
