Rubbing Her nose on the doors!!!!!

Ok and I thought I discovered all of Bastets' idiosyncracies.... She has started in the last 2 weeks to rub her nose across the base of the doors when they are closed. It makes this annoying noise. I am not concerned about the noise I am concerend about Bastet's nose...

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to stop or at least curb this recent and scary habit??

Hmm.. well I am not really sure.. I'll give my idea, but hopefully others can help better than me..
You could try putting like vinegar along where she sniffs at if it's a problem, just so she'd go "ewwwww" and run away.. but then again.. some cats might not mind that smell... i know mine hate it.

Just an idea. What kind of noise does she make?

It sounds like a wet version of running your fingers down a blackboard. That noise... I know its her nose because I have seen her do it on a closed door before. I am just concerned she is going to take skin off her nose!

maybe sprinkle some lemon juice, vinegar, or repellent on the door.. and when she get it on her nose and has to lick it off, she will get grossed out and stop. I have bought some spray from the vet for scratching the furniture. It's like bitter apple, but that isn't what it tastes like.. it's REALLY gross.. I accidently tasted it once.. they eventually associate the smell with what it tastes like, and stop.

Besides, citrus is supposed to be good for polishing wood
