Good morning, Jasper in the U.K.! Happy Dog of the Day to you, sweetheart!

What a beautiful Cocker Spaniel x boy you are, Jasper! That sweet face of yours, those big, love filled brown eyes have my heart melted into a puddle of pure mush! Endless thanks to your family for including so many photos along with their tribute so that we might see first hand just a sampling of your many "sides," just how beautiful and expressive you are.

I was so moved by your backstory, sweetheart; heartened, learning how after such a sad start at life, 2 former "homes," you finally landed in that devoted and loving furever family meant to be yours...complete with a furry Spaniel big brother in dear Harston. Yes, you may have been a bit of holy terror at first (burying his Teddy ), but it wouldn't be long before you and he would become the best of buds, furry soulmates!

It breaks my heart, knowing that after a long and valiant battle with lymphoma he's left for the Rainbow Bridge. But what a wonderful way to honor your best furry friend, taking over his Twitter handle, assuring that his legacy will live on through you! No doubt he's looking down on all of your from above, sending you his love and thanks!

Still, I can only imagine how much you and your family miss having your best buddy there by your sides. Thankfully you have one another to lean on, to turn to for comfort. Hopefully, seeing being honored here today brings you and your humans a bit of comfort. And maybe, sometime in the future, after a bit of healing, your family might consider opening up their home and hearts to another deserving pup for you to bond with. I know they so want to see that sparkle returned to your eyes, the spring returned to your step. They love you so very much.

Great thanks to your family for sharing you and dear angel Harston with us, giving us the chance to honor two very special boys! I hope you're able to enjoy a happy day of celebration, sweetheart. No doubt your family will be showering you with hugs and kisses, all the love your heart can hold! Dearest Jasper, you are absolutely precious! What an adorable Cocker Spaniel mix guy you are, so handsome and so sweet with that fluffy multi-color fur that looks so soft, and that sweet face full of so many different expressions with those lovely big brown eyes and that mouth so often open in that big smile! You have such a delightful personality, too. You joined your dear family at age two and bonded with their Springer Spaniel Hartson, your same age, after a period of being a little too energetic for him! You settled into the family as if they'd always had you.

I'm so sorry to learn you lost your beloved Hartson to lymphoma just this past December. I know you're lonely and miss your "big brother" very much. How good that you have taken over managing his Twitter account in his honor! Hartson is a glorious Angel now, whole and healthy again at the Rainbow Bridge. He's with you and the family always, watching over you and sending down love, and reassuring you that you'll all be together again, One Fine Day..

Meanwhile, I am happy to join in honoring you here today as Dog of the Day, and I hope that is helping bring back some of your sparkle! You are wonderful and greatly adored, indeed. You and all your family members and Hartson Angel all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
