What a little cutie you are Cali! Sorry you had to learn your lesson with the cactus that way - ouch! - that must have hurt poor kitty. But it sounds like you've grown into a beautiful, wonderful pal to have around. Never a dull moment with such a sweetie as you.

Enjoy your special day and I hope you get lots of treats, scritchies and hugs for being such a precious kitty.

What a sweet face! I'm so glad you are all well now after falling into the cactus. You sound like one happy lady; singing in the tub and all. Congratulations on being our special Cat of the Day, sweetie.

Cutie Cali, I love your beautiful markings and your story about your shower curtain adventures!!! You are only a few hours drive away from me and my kitties--we wish we could cruise up and see you today!! Living in the desert ourselves, my kitties have almost got hurt on our backyard cacti too, but I think they're sensing to stay away from them. I'm so sorry you had to suffer through that, you poor little baby! I'm happy to hear you're avoiding them now though!! Stick to the shower curtains, Sweetie!!! I hope you're having a wonderful, playful COTD!!

Of course Cali's beautiful. Her name means beautiful in Greek. It's just a coincidence that she's a calico, too.

The Frostfrog has been traveling, sleeping little and has come home with one horrible headache - so terrible I can read nothing - not the story behind Cali, not the messages posted in Cali's honor.

None-the-less, Cali's image was a delight to behold, even through the horrid pain and throb. Now I must get some sleep and see if it goes away, for tomorrow morning I take off again, once again, leaving these poor cats, the graying dog, the fishes and the frogs behind me.

One day, the Frostfrog will settle down with all these critters and will engage in a communication cornucopia with all the Pet Talk cat lovers.
