Winona, we know that all cats here are special but you are really special special because I never head of a kitty chasing storms. PLus you have the most amazing coloring.
We are so glad that you found your furrever home finally and after you understood it fully, you could accept your new collar.

Wow, where to begin? A "hard patter of her hips", a "storm chaser", a "tough customer (if you let me take off this old stinky collar I'll give you a nice new one"), etc. How utterly SAD that she had to sit yet again in a shelter for TWO YEARS until you took her home; thank you so much for giving her a permanent home. Watch out for those "thunder puddles" all over the floor; it's a small price to pay for a happy kitty! And last of all, Winona, if there was ever a kitty I said happy COTD to, you are the most deserving one of all.

Great cat, Great human and Great write up! I too am so grateful to shelters and shelter workers who never give up hope that their long term residents might find a happy furrever home someday. I am grateful to you (Winona's mom) for giving her an amazingly happy furrever home where she gets to chase her storms from the safety of an open window My Moon LOVES having his low back patted "hard" and will chirp, meow (with his one remaining eye tooth showing) and even play bite my hand. He waits for TV time every night so he can assume his position on my lap. We think he is around 13 so he and Winona sound like soulmates.

We have a very nice area near us called Winona Winona Arizona and they have a lot of peaches and grapes there although houses and malls are slowly starting to take over.
They have a great beach area , and they are being taken over by big condos.
There a big Wal Mart there so we Awesome Anmgels can forage for picnics!!!

What a wonderful story! Who could've let go of such a beautiful kitty? And how did she sit waiting for two years?!? Winona is so stunning with those gorgeous green eyes and unusual coat pattern! She sounds like such a character and so much fun to be with! Im glad after all shes been through she ended up in a loving home where she will stay furever. Im glad too that you found it in your heart to love another cat and didnt mind that she was already a bit older. What a win/win for you both! I was so entertained reading your bio., Winona! What a delightful, totally enchanting story your human has shared with us! What a life...exciting and adventure filled on so many levels, and yes, with some very rough spots along the way, for sure (twice surrendered...). But in the end you couldn't have hoped for a happier begninning, for just as you were hitting your stride you hit the forever home jackpot, and what a heavenly match it has been for you and your human! And yes, "quirky" is an understatement in describing a kitty who cherishes a good thunderstorm! You're my kind of girl, Winona...fearless!

What a treasure your human has in you, Winona, and we give her/him GREAT thanks for not only choosing rescue, but choosing an "all grown up" lady at that! And you know, Winona, I have a feeling your beloved predecessor is looking down on you and your Mom/Dad from the Rainbow Bridge today, so happy and proud knowing her/his legacy is being carried on in such fine feline fashion!
