It certainly is true that Our Tortie Cats have a lot of cattitude!!
I remember Pouncer Roccalno Angel who I wanted to adopt, but actually escaped from a cage in my cellar as she wanted to be free.
She was outside , coming for meals once in a while for at least five yeras before she met a car that she could not out run.
Autumn is like my Pouncierge who is quite shy too nad I need to get her to the vets as well.

I prya that Autumn realizes that going to her White Coats is important, but sometimes it is so hard to make our Cats realize that we mean the best for them.
Autumn is such a fantastic blend of colors , she looks as though Our All Loving Lord God above had his paint brush out that day.

Fister's mom was also a tortie and no one wanted to mess with her!

Autumn, I'm so glad you ended up with someone who knows how to spoil you and give you the care you need.

What a pretty girl; you must have had a pretty bad life before adoption if you are still traumatized, so sorry to hear that. To Autumn's mom: I found a wonderful vet in my area who actually comes to my house for my 17 yr old kitty; you may want to investigate that option for yourself. Autumn, love your name and I wish you a happy COTD today.

You are named for my favorite season and represent the colors wonderfully in your pretty fur. I'm so happy you are safe in a wonderful home with a loving guardian to call your own. Hopefully, you will come out of your shell more as the years pass. Only you know what you had to endure before you got to the shelter. I hope you are enjoying your special day to the fullest.

Beautiful Autumn! When I saw your picture and read your story, I thought, "This kitty sounds familiar!" And sure enough, you are one of PT's own.

This part of your story gave me leaky eyes: "Having Autumn has helped mend my broken heart. This is what makes her special, she helped me give love to another kitty." What a wonderful tribute! You and your mum are helping each other

P.S. from Cassie: "Autumn, I don't like the carrier either. When my servant gets it out of the closet, I run and hide. We have had to cancel v-e-t appointments too. Hang in there! Sometimes getting in the carrier is necessary."

Greetings Autumn! A very happy Cat of the Day to you, sweetheart!
What an exquisite, simply stunning Torti girl you are, and how perfectly named, with your coat of Fall colors, those sparkling amber eyes!:

I was sad to learn of the passing of your predecessor, your Mom's "1st," her beloved Misty, Cat of the Day, Oct. 5, 1998. You had some mighty big paw prints to fill, sweetheart. But what a wonderful wonderful job you're doing, helping her heart to mend, giving your Mom the OK to open up her home and heart to another most deserving kitty. Yes, that makes you one VERY special furkid for sure! And best of all she loves you unconditionally, just the way you are, and it's clear you love her back every bit as much!

And I know Misty is looking down on you both each and every day from the Rainbow Bridge, sending you both her love and cheering you on!

No one can blame you for resisting going into that port-o-prison carrier, Autumn! Most kitties aren't thrilled with that prospect! My suggestion would be to your mom, if she hasn't yet, to try one of those soft carriers that zipper open along the top, down the sides. I have a rescued feral who fought me all the day, trying to get him through the front door of a hard case! But the soft case worked like a charm! Initially I just left it open near his favorite spot, with a few treats in it, and before long he was napping in it! Maybe you'll come to love one too!

Thanks to your Mom for sharing her and your very special, heart warming stories with us, sweetheart. She truly has a treasure in you, Autumn, and I hope for you both many, many more wonderful years of shared loved and companionship!Love and hugs and kisses to, beautiful Autumn girl! I sometimes use a technique I learned from watching "Animal Cops": Open the door, tip the carrier onto the other end, and (gently) drop the cat inside, head first.
