Thread: Miniblind destruction - caught in action

  1. The Original Fort McFarland

When Eddie first came to live with us he was so, so frightened! He lived in our basement for a while. We did not see him. Slowly he came out. He created Fort McFarland by "modifying" the mini-blinds. That way he could watch us from the safety of his fort.

    Thanks for the memory!

I no longer have mini blinds in living room. I went broke replacing them literally it seems every other week there for a while. It wasn't the cats but the dogs that ruined them. So now I have nice drapes up and they can look out and not destroy anything.

The National Alliance for Miniblind Manufacturing puts catnip in the blinds.

That way the cats will destroy the blinds and make you buy more.....

I've had vertical blinds for years now. So far, kitty-proof!

ONLY us cat-lovers would EVER see the humor in this, and actually take pictures and post them PROUDLY to tell the story! I have blinds built into my window on my front door now, so I can't even touch them, let alone my fur babies!

This morning when I was walking the dogs, I passed a house where a cat obviously lives. One of the second story windows bore witness to that fact; the mini blinds were twisted, contorted, and hanging at an angle, one side higher than the other.

I started laughing and couldn't stop, because I remembered this thread and how hysterically funny it was when I first read it. My Tippy, eight months old, hasn't destroyed the blinds in the house YET, but I'm pretty sure it will be on his agenda soon.

    Thanks for the memories!

That is just part of living with cats! GOTTA LOVE IT!! Caramella is ruining my shades! I have had shades all these years with my other girls and none of them have done ANY damage... Caramella is ripping them UP! But, I love my baby girl and I'll gladly buy more shades..
