I can't think of any of mine having strange behaviors... just little quirks.

One of my sister's cats is living with us for the time being, and at night she gets shut in the sunroom by herself so that my cats don't pick on her. Each morning when I open the door I always find that she has taken the washcloth we use to wipe the dog's feet on when they come inside, and places it in the center of the room. Then she takes her toy hamster and places it on top of the washcloth. Even if we put the washcloth and the hamster on opposite ends of the room -it never fails- she will always do this.

The drawer doesn't have to be all the way open either, it can just be part way open, where you think she'd never get in. Then I find underwear or socks in other drawers or drawers underneath the original drawer! ARGH!!! She does look so content though, I can't get mad at her. She's just snuggles into a ball and goes to sleep.

Nesting or finding her comfort zone?

Cassie does this every morning. I take a shower, she has to nose her way into the bathroom. And then, she sticks her head in the shower and proceeds to lick the side of the tub as water runs down. Her head is all wet by the end of the shower o_O. Taffy will find your crotch and headbutt it gently. No, not your lap, your CROTCH. She's like a heat-seeking missile, males entering the house have to be on guard.

Toby (ragamuffin cat) will meow at you if you stare at him too long without petting him . Luigi (dom. shorthair kitty) will stick his paw in any glass you have out for him and taste the liquid on his paw. Goes back for more if he likes it. He especially enjoys drinking my juice. He'll also taste ANY food within reach.

I forgot to add that when Pearl uses the litter box she'll start meowing as she's using it. At first I thought that she was in pain but she's not I think she just wants to announce to everyone that she's going potty.LOL

Cassie likes to tear paper to get my attention. She is my kitty confetti-maker If she wants you to pet her head, and you don't, she will meow to make sure you know she would like some petting now. She also has a rule that she cannot ever be on the outside of a closed bathroom door. No exceptions for guests! If you go in the bathroom and shut the door, she will slip her paw under the door to remind you she's waiting. Then she'll avoid you when you come out.

I don't know that this is strange but it hurts me to watch. There is a family that lives near my mom and dad. I think they are fairly new neighbors. They have a German Shepherd and I've seen them out walking. Their dog seems to have a hip problem. When he walks, he sort of hops with his left back leg. Then he has to hop with his right back leg to shift his weight. If he were a person, I would take him to a doctor for a hip X-ray. I don't know the family so I can't ask them about it. But it definitely isn't a normal gait. It is strange in that the dog doesn't walk smoothly.

Jax is also a paper shredder. I heard him in the closet the other day, in a spot usually only used by Paizly. I went to see what the noise was (I figured he was bugging Paizly) and found him shredding the corner of a cardboard box that is flatened against the back wall of the closet. He'll shred Bruce's work papers on the desk.
He loves to stare at the ceiling looking for bugs/insects. Then he'll meow at them very loudly.

Oh, one thing Paizly does that is a little strange. She gets on my desk (which is usually always a mess) and digs into bags that are on the desk. Yesterday she climbed into my "patient belongings" bag from my surgery on Friday. I got pictures of this!!
She also likes to chew on ribbons or strings. She attacks the camera cord when I try to take pictures of her. She was a challenge to get a picture of for the PT Calendar!

Well one picture wouldn't load for some reason. But here is the picture of her in the bag attacking the camera cord while I took the picture.

Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
