If I got the puzzle right you are more than welcome to take the next puzzle.

I have be present for Xterra's race this weekend at Oak Mountain. I was the person that brought all the players together so that Oak Mountain could host the Southeastern Championships. There is a lot of money involved in hosting a race so I need to be there. This was a 4 year process in the making, and now we are about to have our forth year putting this on. We have Xterra this weekend then week after next we have the Bump & Grind.

What an odd name for a bike race. No, my mind didn't go in the gutter, but I wonder what is being bumped and ground, except your whole body night feel like that when you're done.

Have fun. I'm cleaning this weekend and doing a little tutoring on the side.

PS almost forgot, yeah, if you got it right I'll host for you gladly.

    ANDDDDDDDDDDDD Bill wins yet again
Icelandic Sagas are a favourite read of mine, so I thought I'd throw one at you all this time.

    The puzzle.........

Hrafnkell was meek and blithe towards his own people,
but stern and crossgrained towards those of Jokuldalr,
who never got fair dealings with him.
He busied himself much with single combats, and for no man did he
pay a weregild, and one ever brought him to do boot for whatsoever
    he might have done.

The Story oF Hrafnkell, Frey's Priest.
    English Translation by John Coles.

If you ever rode a Mountain Bike over the terrain like Oak Mountain then you would know why it is named "Bump & Grind". There is nothing smooth about a rocky decent at 30 mph off of the mountain, and no tougher grind that the 1600 ft of climbing needed to make that decent. If you want a Endorphins high try mountain biking.

Wom, I have trouble enough with modern English. Icelandic? Really?

A true story. Sophomore year of college. I was smart enough to sign up for the same professor for each English course. The Freshman courses were writing and grammar courses required for all. I figured I would benefit and I did, so I elected not to opt out of the classes with a CLEP grade.

Anyway, back to British Lit in the Sophomore year. I'm a good student but Chaucer had me flummoxed. I am a mathematician (and more than likely somewhat autistic) so being "literal" is the norm. I have since taught myself to read between the lines and beyond the story, but that wasn't happening at age 19. I was failing. The professor loaned me her 20th century translation of Chaucer so I could pass the quizzes and tests. I don't know how I made it through Shakespeare, though. I switched to American Lit the next semester.

Funnily enough, I was invited (and did so) to read and comment on Freshman student journals for the English department my senior year. There were English majors who were denied that privilege.
