Goodness sakes Winnie - what have you done to yourself? You would think that you were Angel or Chip getting into trouble the way you do.

I am sorry that you now have a collar to wear - but we need all of your feet to function well and heal.

What a time you are giving your Mom - please find a comfortable spot and take a good nap. Maybe you can get some sympathy from the other kitties if you play it up just right.

Goodness Gracious! Winnie, I am so sorry to hear this!!! I hope you heal up quickly.

I have found several issues with the cone. One is the inability to eat/drink. I use a couple of small blocks of wood (perhaps 4" square) and put the food and water on it. It allows the cat to eat/drink, and the cone to go around the wood. Otherwise, every time the cat tries to eat, the cone hits the floor, scaring it. I also take the cone off during the day when I am right there. Otherwise, the cat seems to get depressed.

The litterbox can be challenging, too..I switched to a super low sided box....again, every time the cone hit the box, the cat got scared.

    Good luck!

Mercy me, poor little Winnie. I am sorry your paw hurts sweetie. That
sure was a nasty bump you got by the step ladder.

I can't imagine any kitty would like wearing a cone around it's neck, but
if that's what it's gonna take to heal up... Do you have a small
dog cage (maybe the Vet has one you could use) to confine her & keep her
from jumping around on the bad paw? Just for a week or two?

Hope you heal up & feel 100% soon Winnie.

Guess they didn't bother to do x-rays the first time

I hope Winnie will be a good patient. When Pepper broke her toe, she chewed off her cast one night.

    Pics of sad Winnie

I thought mommy loved me! How could she do this to me????

I have a feeling I'm not going to have the heart to leave that cone on for long.

Poor Winnie - a broken wrist??? How awful - been there and done that - twice!!!

Well, one good thing I suppose. You can give that "oh woe is me" look and play on the sympathy of Meowmie - it's always good for extra lovins and treats!

Hope you heal fast and well - and that you stay away from the mean old step stool in the future.

More prayers and good wishes and healing energies that this all heals up quickly!

OK, it must be my eyesight but that poor widdle kitty resembles Mz Edwina. I know she was named after Edwina, but all I see there is a grey kitty. Am I going insane??? For some reason I though Winnie was a calico.... Oh never mind, my mind is so stressed.

That being said, Merlin and me are sending good thoughts for her.

Could you perhaps cover the splint with something icky tasting? Then she wouldn't touch it with her mouth and she wouldn't have to wear that nasty cone!
Proud to be a crazy cat lady!

    Dear Auntie Slick,

May I suggest a lens check? My darling little namesake looks DECIDEDLY like ...moi! A calico indeed!

Poor thing...should I send Eddie to comfort you darling Winnie? He is available.
