Yes, it's almost over - and think of what will begin after that! YOUR LIFE.

You have talked about your lawyer a few times - and I think you've got the best. I would love to see what happens if the ex is a no-show and she gets to unleash everything on him!

Just answer the questions and let your legal dragon do the work!

As I predicted, there will be no questioning on Monday, March 14th. He is unavailable. Look out buddy, now my lawyer is crabby!!! Will provide more info as I find out where we go from here.

What a surprise - NOT! Does he really think he can get away with sliming out of this?

What a COWARD! He's running, Gayle! He is a scared guy and thinking he can get away with not showing.

I wonder if a warrant for his arrest can actually be issued...

    HUGS! Hang tight.

Not a warrant, but something similar is in the works for Monday, unless his lawyer can get in touch with him today and get us something agreeable by Monday morning. He will be served and he will have to appear or be in breach of a court order, then the fun begins.

I'm doing just fine, I find this totally laughable and oh so predictable.

More CHEERS coming for you.. Hang in there, the light at the end of the tunnel is beginning to show.

Ok, you're going to love this....HE IS NOT GOING TO SHOW UP FOR THE QUESTIONING!!!!

His side sent yet another ridiculous 9 page document.

He won't be attending the questioning Tuesday, it will proceed without him and then......its going to get interesting.

My honest reaction? No surprise really. He wants to continue to make this as long and agonizing as he can. It is his last part of being able to control and/or abuse you in some way in his mind. He probably is getting a sense of power that he could be agravating you. Typical abuse/controling man.

Hugs to you. You are in Dougs and my thoughts. Can't wait to see where it goes from here. Hopefully in a more positive direction for you.

OK dumb question here, can't you just go to Vegas and get a quickie divorce?

I don't think so. She lives in Canada. I think you have to be an american to do that. But I could be wrong.

This divorce WOULD be quick if ex-hubby would settle the financial issues. There hasn't even been a counter-offer, nothing. I bet HIS lawyer is ready to strangle him!

You're right Nicole, its his last measure of control and I knew he'd not show. But this puts him in a bit of a legal mess now as he will be in contempt.

You're also right Candace, he will not settle equitably on the financial part so this questioning was to get that in order before it goes before a judge who will decide who gets what.

When the one year period came/went I requested we sever the divorce from the settlement so that I wouldn't have to be his wife anymore. He refused, said there was no good reason.

I will be working on a rebuttal to his 9 pages this weekend, my lawyer has a plan of action for Tuesday and we'll be in court right away. Good to have some action.
