In my experience in volunteering at a shelter, the vast majority of small animals will be at the shelter for nearly a year before they finally find a home. Lots of rodents live out the rest of their days there. It's sad; it's seemingly more convenient for people to get a baby animal on the cheap at a pet shop than go through the adoption process.

I hope those bunnies find forever homes soon!
