I expect there will be some guesses waiting for me in the morning!

Thermal hadn't -othered -ith his -ellingtons. He trotted on ahead o- me in his -are -eet, dotting out a trail o- -a- -rints in the -irgin sno-, and I stood -a-k and -at-hed in ama-ement. He had -our legs and yet he only le-t t-o -rints and they -ere -oth strung out in a straight line, as though he -ere -alking on a tightro-e. It's a -onder he didn't -all o-er.

And then I reali-ed that he al-ays -alks like that, -ut I had ne-er really taken any noti-e -e-ore. He -ut one -oot do-n -here the other had -een, -ust like a su-ermodel. I -onder i- that's -hy they -all it a -at-alk.

Karen has correcently guessed the puzzle and I have asked if she would like to host the next one. It was -

Thermal hadn't bothered with his wellingtons. He trotted on ahead of me in his bare feet, dotting out a trail of paw prints in the virgin snow, and I stood back and watched in amazement. He had four legs and yet he only left two prints and they were both strung out in a straight line, as though he were walking on a tightrope. It's a wonder he didn't fall over.

And then I realized that he always walks like that, but I had never really taken any notice before. He put one foot down where the other had been, just like a supermodel. I wonder if that's why they call it a catwalk.

    Thank you for playing, everyone.

Karen will host the next puzzle once she has had a chance to prepare something. We can rest our brains in the meantime.
