I got glasses *PICS*

So I have been having trouble seeing things at a distance since about november. it was getting pretty bad and I am planning to go for my drivers license soon and there is no way I would have passed the eye test without glasses.

So I went to the eye doc yesterday and sure enough... I had to get glasses.

Went to lenscrafters today and got them and WOW what a difference. forgot what it's like to be able to see everything so crisp and clear.

Yes kids used to tease me when I was little and said I had no eyebrows LOL.

I am near sighted so my up close vision is practically perfect but they tested my vision as 20/80 :O

My glasses (which I started wearing at age 3) are like Coke bottles, so I have a difficult time getting nice frames. So I've worn contacts since I was around 15. When the procedure is prefected, I'm getting laser surgery for astigmatism.

I've been wearing specs since age 15 though just for reading. Frames have come a long way since then. You picked a really nice pair. Are those your own eyelashes? Good grief, they're awnings!

WELCOME to the world that you can see. I've had mine since I was 19, many, many years ago. Like you I am near sited, works great for building models, but with the glasses I can read a traffic sign almost a 1/4 mile away, drives my wife nuts.

Yeah that's what they kept saying everytime someone would check my prescription... "Oh you have the good prescription. you can get any frames you want with this one" LOL lucky me.

there are SO many frames to choose from. it was kind of overwhelming and I tried on A LOT of frames. but I only found three that I really liked and this pair was my CLEAR favorite... brians too. so I guess they were just made for me lol.

I'm getting used to them. they are really nice and lightweight and my eyes are adjusting pretty well
