    Maggie

    What a beautiful bird Maggie is and such a great story. I think it is sometimes very hard if not impossible for pets to adjust to new environments. Maggie seems to have made that adjustment and she is very loved and happy with you. Great job in bringing her to the happiness she deserves.
    This is Jake age 6 on the left & Gracie age 7 they are the most spoiled pups but they give us a lot of love and we give it right back. They love to ride in the truck and also on the boat when they get the chance. They also love swimming but not baths.

    Maggie

    Maggie is beautiful ! I am glad she found a good home and has adjusted. Sometimes it takes awhile,and Toos can be kinda stubborn. When I got my G2 he was 4 yrs old and he grieved so bad for his old owner even though they were not all that good to him. But now he is a happy birdie and loves his buddies to African grays.

    Such a pretty birdy you are, Maggie Mae! The delicate hints of citron on your plummage are lovely.

    It must have been disconcerting to have to adjust to a new environment after so many years, however with the knowledge and love your new guardians are offering, it is apparent that you have settled in quite nicely.

    Hope you have a splendid celebration (maybe even playing with toys?) to honour your POTD status, marvelous Maggie Mae!

    I'm sorry you had to leave your first human but it sounds like it may have been the best for you. You are getting lots better care now along with lots of love!!! I bet you will love toys when you finally figure out what they are for!

    Congratulations and a very happy Pet of the Day to you, precious Maggie! What a brave, beautiful, magnificent bird you are! I was so moved and inspired by your story, sweetheart! How lucky were you to find your way to such a devoted, committed Mom...did I say loving? I too am so sorry you had to be re-homed; the transition must have been very difficult for you after so many years with your first family. But little by little you're learning to love not only your new Mommy, but your new life as well! You're even learning to love your pellets!!! Good birdie! Under your Mom's loving care, I have no doubt that the bond of love and trust you have developed will only grow stronger with each passing day; that you two will be sharing many, many, MANY more happy, healthy, love filled years together!
