When it comes to food, I have to read labels and buy what won't make me sick. The brand name doesn't matter - the ingredient label does. A lot.

Shoes, I just keep trying on pairs until I find ones that not only fit my orthotics, but fit my feet and don't hurt. Looks, frankly, come further down the list, and brand name doesn't enter into it.

There is, however, one way that I acknowledge that I am a real snob. I dislike singing in unison - if there's more than one person, there can be more than one part, right?

Sasvermont, I am putting aside money for a pair of Merrell's later this year. I worked with a medical director who swore by them. I've also heard great things about Børn shoes. For the most part I've always purchased inexpensive shoes, except for when I was doing shift nursing. Then for work I always bought a pair of Reebok, Propet or Nike sneakers (and later Nurse mates when they came out with ones that looked less like nurse shoes and more like sneakers!). Since my broken ankle, shoes are more of a problem. From buying mediocre shoes I've learned that good ones are worth it!

I'm a Tab fanatic. If I can't get it, I'll buy Diet Coke.

The only brand of soda I will drink is Diet Mountain Dew. If I can't get that, I will drink iced tea or water.

When I used to smoke, I was picky about cigarettes. I only smoked MY brand, I'd never bum a different brand from a friend.

I only wear Wacoal bras. When you are ... ummm ... very well endowed in the chest area, and you find the right bra, you stick with it!

I won't buy an American car. I've had Japanese and German cars, and really wanted an English car (but couldn't afford it).

Most things, I could care less, though. I like to find things on sale, actually, I don't really care about most brand names.

The only thing I am a snob about are for my shoes. I don't wear or buy anything but Flexi's to go outside. . They aren't shoes but pull tab boots and they are the only thing I can be comfy in.
Summer months I wear Mocassins or nike's only .

I'm addicted to Diet Mountain Dew and nothing else will do. Even though I like the other MD flavors, I can't drink them often. Regular soda makes me sick and always has.

I'm not crazy about lower priced perfume.

Peanut Butter-It has to be Jif.

Cheese-no cheap cheese. It tastes funny to me.

    Bread

    Coffee

    Shoes

I'm sure there are some more but I can't remember them right now.

I almost refuse to pay full price for OTC meds(Tylenol, Advil, etc.) The bargain brands are the same to me.
Many store brands are ok with me as long as they perform the same way.

I am a Moutain Dew snob for sure...the store brands just don't cut it. It helps that we live near a Pepsi distributer so it tends to be cheaper.

Anything else, if its cheap and it works I'll stick with it. I have noticed with some things you get what you pay for though

    I definitely agree with that.

At this point I'd rather have quality over quantity of something. I will spend money on my hair, on my purses, and my shoes. I forgot I own a bunch of Tevas as well, lol. Love them!! My boots are all Sorel, love them too. Almost all of my purses for the past 10 years have been Fossil, although I just bought one that is called Haiku. It's cute, and is like a messenger bag (which is what I wanted, and didn't have to pay $$$ for).

I've become a food snob. I eat very little premade/processed food, except for high-quality premixes (no synthetics). My weird one is toaster pastries; they must be Pop Tarts (synthetic stuff and all!) Go figure.

I can't really say there's any particular brands I have to have, but I do prefer organic foods most of the time, especially fresh fruits and vegetables. They taste SO much better to me. We buy mostly organic produce unless the price is really prohibitive.

Have you tried Amy's toaster pastries? They are delicious!!! But, they are highly addictive- and even though they are probably better for you than Pop Tarts, they still have lots of sugar and calories.

No, I am pretty far off from that. I almost always buy the cheap brand unless there is a noticeable difference in them.

That is my attitude too! I'd rather buy one good item, than several of a poor quality! I am not stuck to "some" brands, the quality is what counts for me

I come from a family of food snobs! My dad especially, he has to have name brand everything. But I've realized, since buying my own food, that name doesn't really matter to me. I go the cheapest route. If I had more money, I'm sure I'd be willing to spend for higher quality...however, I'm a poor college student at this point!

Foods I don't care what I buy. Rarely the brand names. I find that some of the store brands are better than the higher priced brand names. Whatever saves me a dollar on my grocery bill will do just fine. I'm not fussy , whatever is edible and called food I will eat.
