Karen, I'm going to send you a check through snail mail this weekend. I hope that's okay. I do not have paypal or anything. It's easier for me to just send a check.
Snail mail is perfectly fine, thank you!

I think the PT recipe book is a great idea, and if I can help with that in any way, I'll be glad to.

An offroad forum and a gun forum Im a member of have pay to play areas, it was just an idea for the Dog House.

ETA: Another bonus of the pay to play area is for site sponsers/advitisers to have raffles or give a ways for paid members. An incentive for advitisers and members alike. For those wanting to addvertise their business and wares that would be a different type of paid membership.

I have complete and utter hatred of websites that make you pay to do something special in them. Its unfair to people who just dont want to pay to access a certian part of a website.

I like a free for a free for all too, but I also appreciate offerring extras to supporting members who help pay the bills.

Like I said, it was just an idea.

To keep the site free for all maybe some of those who frequent or addvertise in the Marketplace could put together a raffle to benefit PetTalk, as a way of giving back to the community. If I can get the parts I can throw some glow in the dark leashes in for a raffle, made to length, I could even do a glow in the dark coupler. Make the tickets cheap, and offer discounts on blocks of tickets of 10 or more.

I have thought about this (puzzled and puzzled 'til my puzzler is sore), but dunno how we'd do a raffle - seeing as I'm only familiar with the old-fashioned kind, where tickets are thrown into a jar and drawn out ... but we do appreciate your thought, though!

I imagine glow-in-the-dark leashes would be even more popular further North, where you are - Floridians may not even know that this time of year, even as far South as Massachusetts, by the time folks get home from work it is solidly dark out!

We do thank folks the contributions we have received!

I still like the "Pet Talk" shirt idea that some one mentioned a long time ago. I know that I'd buy one.

that sounds like a great idea...with all different kinds of animals on it.

they are soon having liscense plates here in maine where it says adopt a pet...with a dog, cat, horse and bird on it.
but we got special ones already about supporting our troops...so we may not get them...not sure.maybe later in the future sometime.

but those t'shirts sound like a great idea for pettalk.

Thank You Kim for this wonderful siggy

I made numerous attempts at that for the millionth post thing. I still would like a PT shirt. I even offered to set it up on Cafe Press.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Has anyone gotten a shirt from Cafe Press? Paul is just concerned about the quality.

In any case, thank you again to all who have sent donations, we really appreciate it!

Les from Nothin' Butt Dogs donated shirts & hats to one of our Husky Hikes for the auction- I'm sure they were produced by Cafe Press, & they were quite nice. Good quality shirt, good job on the printing too.

Yepper, I have a couple. One has the Czech flag on it and one says, "Nursing - A Work of Heart". They are both Hanes T-shirts, same as ones you might buy from Wal-Mart. My nursing one has a lot of different colors in the design. Cassie barfed on it and I was worried that the stain wouldn't come out - of course, she barfed on the front of it-- thanks, cat. But it came out no problem. They are good weight- not too thin, true to size, and my Czech flag one is tagless. They're well-made and hold up well in the wash.
