    GOOD.

I ephed it all up, pretty much from the start.

Maybe life (well, internet 'life') DOES have a "restart" button afterall? LOL

Nothing taken out of context at all! Perhaps I should have leapt off the bike and shouted "Citizen's Arrest!" tackled her and help her down until the posse arrived.

    Oh please.

When I lived in Chicago we were on a corner. During election season both parties would put signs on the easement (city property of course!) Most were polite enough to ring the bell and ask. I never said no to them. And sometimes the signs would disappear. Not ONCE did I think to call the cops. Or shoot anyone.

I just cannot believe anyone's mind is changed by the litter of pro-this and anti-that signs.

Now I do not like shows such as Candid Camera or Punk'd. I am not a fan of practical jokes. To each his own. But I just wonder if some of the folks who have expressed such deep concern for the sign swapping will be telling us sometime how funny those shows are (why don't those people ever get shot?)

With the exception of assaulting her, a citizens arrest would have been called for. You would rather look the other way it seems.

    Oh please.
    I agree.

When you lived in Chicago you gave up your rights to protect yourself. My brother has lived there since the late 90's, and he feels the same as you seem to. Its better to be a victim then to take a stand and protect your rights.

And yet the signs actually do make a difference for those on the fence. Some people will go along with the majority without thinking for themselves, not everybody thinks for themselves the way you or I do.

When I visit my brother in Chicago, I have more 2nd amendment rights then he does or you did when you lived there.

You obviously do not value the 1rst amendment if you see the stealing of political signs as no big deal.

I thought you had to go to work?

But, anyway.... Expressing your first amendment rights, go for it. Just don't violate a person's property to do so.

Being the Libertarian I am, I believe your right to free speech ENDS at the borders of MY property. Just as my rights to free speech end at the borders of yours.

You have the right to make me leave your home, for any reason, just as I have the right to do likewise.

As PA law explains... I might feel threatened by a person violating my property, as my wife and my daugher live here. Take that as you will...

Oh, I get it! No, I did not belong to the militia in Chicago so I didn't need a gun. Does your brother belong to the militia?

Do you really want to go down the "militia" road? It leads us into discussion about the concept of militia, what it meant in the 18th century and what it means now.

Sara, you are a smart person. I am sure you have done your research. You should know what "the militia" meant to the founders. I feel that definition should not change. Do you?

Do you REALLY think that the person who painted/wrote that sign was serious? That they'd go to prision for shooting someone over a sign?? It was making a statement.

I thought the comparison funny!!! GREAT pics and signs! Too FUNNY!!!! Just so I'm not picked apart for this comment too, I thought it funny....that's it. No, not funny because someone would get shot, no, not funny because someone stole an Obama sign. Any others I've left out? I forget how JUDGEMENTAL I am.

If there ever was a person who did not understand the concept of personal liberty, it is YOU.

And don't worry... I will not ever go to Chicago again. WAY to much crime there for my taste. I will never trust a town that does not trust its people with their own Constitutional rights.

Ive been to Chicago a few times now. I dont need to carry to feel complete. I do know I can bring firearms there that residents cant legally own.

Im not sure why you feel the need to be condesending.

This is a good point....if it were one of those decorative flags people fly on the front of their homes, what would the outcome be?

Although, I DO believe the intention wasn't cruel or to strip him of his rights...
