Barack Obama is truely a leader of and for the 21st century. He taught constitutional law for 12 years and was the first african-american president of the Harvard Law review. He knows the pain of dealing with medical insurance. His mother died of cancer when she was 51.


I'm tired of the name-calling and hate and venom of the campaign. We need to look at who these people really are and then make our choices or we deserve what we get.

Seems to me they all started throwing mud from the get-go. There's just so much negativity. And of course a candidate has to respond, but I think that Obama is doing more than responding...just my humble opinion. I just liked catland's post, as I am also tired of the name-calling and hate of the campaign (well, every campaign, they all seem to be this way anymore). It seems to me that there's so much name calling, accusations, and lies that it's hard to keep track of where the candidates actually stand on the issues. I intend to vote, but I am stil not sure who for. I am just not crazy about either of them. I can't WAIT until this election is over.

Politicians salaries are public knowledge are they not? (and I'm not trying to be 'smart'- I really don't know- so its a valid question.)
But I sure don't understand why the OP would even care since she doesn't even live in this country.
