Mike mades lemonade???? Could it be any better than lemonade made by six PTers in Gini's kitchen?????

I'll take one very large Bloody Mary please and let's say mega prayers for those in the path of Gustav and Fay.

OH man, Two people after my heart.

    I haven't had a Bloody Mary in a while......

    Three up? DONE!

OH, now what kind of garnish? Green olives, hot pickled okra, a prawn and cherry tomato on a skewer or dill pickle spear?

    Slick.

It's Mike's Hard lemonade! not the Gini's kitchen kind!

Yes, some prayers sent out to everyone in the South!

Anyone up for a night cap?

I was watching the news and really "thank george" -Pun Intended!- that the hurricane was not as bad as anticipated.

    I am drinking a beer.

Here's to wimpy hurricanes named Gustav!

Hey, anyone seen the Kinsey Sicks? Their manager called, and I haven't seen them since we let them use the L+F for a changing room .

I'll take my usual, a large Irish coffee, heavy on the irish, light on the coffee.

Dang, I'll go look for them......But, first!!!

One coffee, Irish, Heavy on the brogue!

    DONE!

    Aw, Slick!
    That's a girly drink!

    DONE!

Do we dare do a Vegas late night buffet?

While we sit down for a drink...I have a Vegas story,

My brother finally decided to get hitched and he was going to do it in Vegas.
I am a 30% Vegas kind of guy, so I talked him into going so I could go to the races.

We got there on a Friday and it was hot -112 degrees and we were going to have to wear tuxedoes. The next day it was the same....112-113 degrees and hotter than you =know what- But it was a DRY HEAT

When we pulled into town we were looking for our hotel. Pay attention now!

We drove past the CircusCircus, the place where they were getting married. We made a right hand turn off the Strip, another right and there it was!

How to get to the CC casino? Go straight out the parking lot make a left when I hit the strip and the CC wouls be there! RIGHT?

My GF and SIL went to get ready and they split to meet our parents. I stayed with my brother to get ready and meet them there,.

We run out into heat in out monkey suits.....I jump in the car, go straight, make a left and in about 10 minutes I am at the sign that says, You are leaving Vegas, Drive safely (you BROKE SOB!) I panic and make a u-turn. Somewhere in the night someone MOVED THE CASINO! Or, so I thought.

When we drove in I was trying so hard to get to where we were going that when I made the SECOND RIGHT HAND TURN, I drove past the casino-not realizing I went past it on that parallel street.

So here I am, trying to get to the chapel/church-David Bowie's Modern Love is racing thru my mind and the radio clock is getting closer to THAT TIME. I see a marquee with the temp on it and I swear the A/C in the truck is not working.

We pull into the lot, I jump out and hobble to the chapel in my tennis shoes because of the world's most painful hang nail on my left big toe.

We run up to the area where everyone is waiting and her mom is looking at me like she wants to shoot me! "I thought he wasn't going to show up!" She then looks at my ratty volleyball shoes and and gives me the "YOU ARE NOT GOING TO WEAR THOSE THINGS TO MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING!" I get my rental shoes out of my back pack and we go into do the ceremony. I am dancing foot to foot on my injured foot, my ego is broken and I am soaked from the panic sweat running down my spine.

Well, we made it out O.K. and I had to put up with my SILs parents and the poopy looks she gave me for the rest of the day.

I never made it to the races, but the rest of the trip was great!+
MY GF won about 900 dollars at the border casino on the way home.

    MY hangnail you ask?

    LOL,
When we got home a few days later I grabbed some aspirin, a bottle of vodka and dug that sum a gun outta my toe in the bathroom.

Everything might stay in Vegas, but the memories will always follow you home!

    ---------

NOw that I have bored you all properly, let me go look for the Kinsey Sicks!

    DONE!

I could go for a late night buffet.

I hated the heat in Vegas, but the beer at Ellis Island made the walk worth it. It was well over 100 degrees the whole time we were there, and I don't give a damn about the "dry heat" crap. The wind was like a blast furnace.

Oh, what about that cool, moist air in the buildings, then hitting that sliding door that goes outdoors?

I always got sick afterwards. I don't know if it was the sudden change of temps or all the people and their germs. I don't know how people can live there.
