THATS WHY THEY SAY NOT TO FEED THE BEARS AT THE NATIONAL PARKS AS THEY START TO EXPECT FOOD FROM THE PEOPLE , AND ALTHOUGH MOST BERAS ARE NOT DANGEROUS THERE ARE EXEPTIONS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THIER CUBS ARE WITH THEM.
I REMEMBER A FOREST RANGER SAYING THAT THEY GENERALLY DO NOT MEAN TO HURT YOU, ITS JUST TAHT THEY DONT KNOW THIER OWN STRENGTH.

You are exactly right! Each year the conservation officer would ask everyone to pick all the apples and plums off their trees before the bears showed up so that they would not depend on that as a food source. This made alot of sense and we didn't want to endanger the bears that would sometimes get trapped by the officers after someone made a complaint in the town we lived in and surrounding towns.
Usually what we did was call our friends and neighbours in late September/October and have them come and pick all the apples they wanted. A few would be left behind but not many. This little mutant apple tree seen in the pics was always the last to develop it's apples and took longer than the other trees for the apples to become ripe enough to pick. On occasion, the bears would seek out this little tree and munch on them before it was time to pick them.
Also, our whole place was basically surrounded with thick layers of blackberry bushes (hundreds of bushes) and they sure loved eating those. We couldn't pick all those berries if we tried.
