She is glorious. Just look at that shiny coat. It is so wonderful to see her living a fantastic, healthy life.

Thank you for sharing her with us.

I don't think she has pointer but I know some labs point and she does have lab. Although really she seems mostly to pause while walking and sniffing and lift her head up with her paw still raised and watching. In that picture she was watching another dog walking with someone far off.

It's not fenced but it's large and really wide open. It's kinda ruralish, close to where I live but not too far from McHenry and Woodstock, IL. Not close to any really big cities.

LOL, Raven is just a livewire! Go go go! She does not trot or walk anywhere when she can run at top speed. I know labs can be prone to heaviness but she must have a lean breed in the mix.

She's wonderful. She is always careful to keep me in sight and comes running when I call. She's certainly a joy to watch.

Thank you so very much for the wonderful comments on my sweet happy girl. She had a blast and I had a constant smile on my face watching her.

By the way, love the multiple quote feature!

WOW it is uncanny how much Raven reminds me of Ivy. That first picture looks like I'm standing right behind my own dog. And, of course, if Raven reminds me of Ivy, then Raven MUST be gorgeous Just kidding - she is a real black beauty, though.

Those are really cool photos. I love the ones with Raven running toward you. It's like I can hear music in the background when I look at them...like Born Free or something.

I think that every time I see Ivy . As I mentioned to you before I am highly suspicious Raven has dobe in her. In certain lighting I can see a faint face mask, eyebrow, and leg markings. I was also reading at a dobe board about common behavior quirks of which she has quite a few.

Thanks so much again for all your kind comments everyone, they make my heart swell!

You already know what I think. Love that Black Beauty of yours! I really enjoyed looking through all the photos. I love scenery shots. Looks like you two had a really nice hike and I'm glad you were able to capture it for us. I wish I could have been there with you.

I saw this one and I swear, the words out of my mouth were "Oh, wow!" I just love this one! All of them are really good, though. I think this one should be printed and framed. I can't explain why I like it so but I do. I'm so glad to see these! You have such a beautiful hiking area. I would love to be there.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
