NO rushin the food, Dad, even if you think you know best!
Dear ole Dad wuz readin dat, Miz Staci, whenst I called him ober by da slider door ...
"HEY Dad ~ take a peek ober here! And NO, nunna US dun it!"

    <GSAP>

Seemz da rug hadda prudy largish GREEN , WET spot, complete wiff GRASS nibblings!

He wus waitin fur Miz Molly "speshul treet lunch" ta cool down ...

He "offered it", an she totally refused ta even *sniff* it ... so wiff da Above freshly in mynd,
da lunch bowl got put onna counter fur a later tyme.

9:30 pm - Molly's been outie onna tether fur about an hour ... way too quiet ta suit Dad.
He wuz gettin reddie to dial up da 'Mergency Vet when he called her in.
She walked up da 4 frunt steps purdy easily, then stood inna hall fur da door to close.
Dad offered da wadder bowl - she refused but then took a lil *sip*.

Whut da hey ... he grabbed da now cold lunch bowl - Beef broth anna few Ramen Noodilz
poured over Krunchies ... smelled OK when it wuz warm - kinda like *mush* now.
Total of about 3 tablespoons of stuff.

She took a *sniff* an looked away ... then turned an took anudder *SNIFF*.
    Took a tiny byte ...
    >>Pa-TOOie<< went a tiny bit of Ramen Noodil ... >GULP< went whatever else she had.
    >SMACK< uvva tongue an she lapped up everthing inna bowl - including da Noodilz!

We're takin dis azza GUD sine ...
Hope God's keepin an *eye* on Miz Molly, too.

More Gud Thoughts would be nice - kan't have too many!

10:45 pm an we'z feelin "better"!

Well, da 9:45 pm *snackie* seemed to stay down OK ...

I just passed out the Dinner Krunchies to Clipp & Clopp and the Chubbie Herder -
Miz Molly sat upright (a first for the last couple of days) and seemed interested.
    I handed her a single Krunchie nugget - <CHOMP> & <GULP>

    Hmmmm ... wanna nudder one?
The TAIL <WAGGED> - another first!
    I handed over Krunch #2 ... <CHOMP> & <GULP>!

We're off to Pill da Kat at Cali's howze ...

    More when we get back.

Whew, that was quite an emotional ride. I guess I can set my worry meter down a notch or two. I was in full fledged *Call the Mergency Vet, call the Mergency Vet* mode for a hot second there. Like the clan at the Ranch, I've taken a real liking to the Molly Girl. She deserves a break in life and just don't want any detours on that course. Phred, deliver some gentle cuddles from us this morning and give yourself a big PAT ON THE BACK while you are at it for everything you have done for her.

FIXED & On the Road Again ...

We finished up the evening with a couple mini-treets and a full-sized Bisquit!
Nite-Nite was spent at the front door on the cable (now known to be chew-proof)
tie-out fed under the door. About 5 feet of wander-room and in reach of the kitchen wadder bowl.
    ALL QUIET all night!

Nunbuddie rushed to get up - so "we" watched Sunday Mornin with Charlie till Cali *hinted*
that she wanted OUT, NOW! The Herd moved towards the front door ...
Miz Molly was sitting in the Sphinx-like pose (another first since pre-op) and banging her tail ...
she jumped up to reach out and *BONK* poor Cali on the head, then gave my legs a
two-pawed *shake* as my greeting. ... I think she feels "better".

She walked down the front steps without a *shove* and went through the motions
of a long *pee*, then flopped into her Sphinx imitation in the sun. She agreed to come in
when "food" was mentioned - tail a-wagg.

She got half-rations of regular Krunchies - no broth or water added ...
they went down quickly at her normal, steady gobble/chomp speed - she DOES feel "better"!
She washed it down with a good *slurrp* from the wadder bowl.

Well, it's been a *ruff* 30 hours for Foster Dad ... I was dreading the next call from Maw & Paw ...
now I guess I don't have to worry or make up some hopefull tail to not panic
    them with.

THANKS to all the PTers who offered support and a few Prayers ...
    And THANKS, God!

Now it's PAST Tyme to boogie up the boulevard to Pill da Kat ...
I think we'll take Molly along again. Gotta pack the Blue Cable tie-out in the Bus -
now is NOT the tyme to loose da Mutt!

    /s/ Phred & Molly, too!

    Sunday ~ Bed Tyme report

We all traveled up the Boulevard to see da Kat ...
    Molly tried out the "chew-proof" Blue Cable tie-out attached to the basketball hoop in the drive;
the Three Amigos wandered the Pharm with the understanding to Stay CLOSE!

I pilled da Kat and decided we'd watch the race on cable ... Opened the back porch door
and *hollered* for the Herd. In due time all three appeared & came in.
Miz Molly was viewed lounging on the driveway.

*click* ... and we gotz NO Dish signal!
Half an hour of *clickin* on two remotes and we STILL had nuffin! NUTZ!
Got the FM radio fired up and found da Race ... this'll have to do.

"HEY DAD! Who do we know wiffa brown head an floppy earz?"
"Yeah - she just looked inna window frumma porch!"

I looke over the porch railing - at the Blue Cable ending in an EMPTY leather collar!
    MOLLY! ... COME!

Only took a minute or two of worry till she bounded up the back steps and barged into
the kitchen to join the herd - collarless! I bit my tongue about ditching the collar and
heaped GOOD DAWGs on her for the reasonably good recall.

After the Race we went out and fitted her "Power Steering" collar and practiced
some close order drills in the driveway. She really does pretty well for a novice -
walks quietly at my side with a slack lead. Halt and SIT is a little sloppy ...
the Halt works phine; the automatic SIT is far from automatic!

We headed Home for dinner ...
Outie Tyme - Stay CLOSE (looking rite AT Miz Big Foot) and they all headed out
with nunbuddie *tied*. And Miz BF headed straight toward the road - but veered over
toward the pond ... then alng the bank to the rear ... then across toward the neighbor's place.

MOLLY! ... COME! Never a glance back - dead run around the neighbor's howze!

EVERYONE ~ INSIDE - NOW! ... CINDER - to the Bus - NOW!
We popped the door and fired the Rescue Bus ... we're off!

We were about to turn down the drive towards the street when Cinder hollered:
"HOLD UP,Dad! Check inna naybur's place ... Big Foot headed dis way - FAST!"

Once again, ready to KILL her, I GUD DAWG'd her as we parked da Bus.

    Memo to Self!
Hey DUMMIE - TIE the Dawg!

Dinner is ON Board ... all we need is an outie and then BigBed!

I can't take these *scary tails*. Got the old heart beating pretty fast on that one. Didn't even need to do 30 minutes on the treadmill. Molly you do seem to be on the mend if you feel the inclination to go exploring and chomping down your crunchies. That's a good thing. But please... give Uncle Phred and the rest of us a break by staying away from the highway.

What - no tails to report from yesterday?.....or maybe Uncle Phred is too worn out to take to the 'puter. Surely Cinder might check in.

I don't know where I've been - I read about finding Molly but the rest I missed somehow. Glad the surgery went well and she is healing okay. As usual your reporting is the best!

    Sorry we're late ...

Kinda a Bizzie Day around da Ranch on Monday ...

Sunday Nitey-Nite Tyme had a kupple *rocky minnitz* ... Miz BigFoot dint like bein by herself
tethered at da frunt door ... twenny minnitz of whimpers, whines, howls, soft barks an
udder miscellaneous *noizes* ... Dad wuz wearin down his toofers atta purdy rapid rate ...
    "MOLLY! ~ SHUT UP!!"

*Silence* for an hour or so ... then a re-pete of the sound effect album!
"MOLLY! ~ BE QUIET, Dang-it!" (Or sumpin kinda close to dat)

More *Silence* till almost get-up tyme ... anudder "MOLLY!" put her back to sleep.

    Next event wuzza lites *blinked*
Puter UPS hollered about da *blink* ... Fiur Tones *bee-booped* about a pole on fire ...
Two more *blinks* an it got DARK inna howze - puter gave up an quit.
Summa da Fiur Guys got there an sed the pole burnt off anna wires fell down ... Uhhh-Ohhhh.

Dad went up an pilled lil BC, da Kat, an kame back to feed us brunch.

About 1 a-klok Reddie KillerWatt anna merry band of linemen had set a new pole an
strung allua wirez back up -*BOINK* - We gotz Lites (and wadder) again!

Dad did a few leash drills wiff Miz Molly - she learns purdy quick. *Sittin* must put a lil
*strain* onna Zippur, so he wuz lettin her slide onna SITz.

    The Call kame about 7:30pm ... "We're HOME --- where's our DAWGS?"
Dad figgered it mite be best fur us ta say G-Bye at our Ranch, an he'd haul the Visitors home
by themselves. Cali did her Mom proud - danced inna door an *DASHED* across da dining
room ta almost jump in Mom's arms! Mom wuz purdy happy wiffa greeting!
Miz Molly walked up an SAT in frunta Unka Pat - then reached out (wiffa RIGHT paw)
an gave him a SHAKE onna leg! There IS hope fur dat dawg!

    Dad related da gud, da bad, anna Uglee from da week; da Kidz had supper;
then ole Molly didda Molly an slipped out da door!

Ohhhhh My ... we're off to a great start.
She took a hike fur about 5-7 minnitz, then appeared at the garage whilst Unka Pat
wuz resetting the outside lites timer. He called her up da basement (NON-carpeted) steps!
NUH-Uh ... not doing THOZE Steps ... NO WAY!

She went outside an dashed up an onto the porch an in da back door wiffout ANY hesitation.
    There still may be hope.

So far ... Trainer Dad hazint had da courage to call an ask how "quiet" it wuz uppa street last nite.
He sez it'z anudder Gud Sine we dint find a Big Mutt tied to our frunt porch dis mornin!

We'll keep ya'll posted on progress wiff Miz Molly.

I'd have to agree with that. Looks like it will be relatively calm at the Ranch for awhile, at least until one of you two can round up another wanderer. Keep your noses in the air for a whiff of a lost soul. You know Trainer Dad thrives on all this exercise....mental and physical.

Haha, I think that's true. Well, Smoke and Cinder (and Dad) I think you can all feel good at helping another lost soul. It sounds like Molly is going to have a great home with Cali, Unka Pat, and Miz Joan.

    All is well ...

Trainer Dad jest called uppa street ...

Unka Pat reported things wuz OK wiffa BigFoot Mutt ...

    * Inna crate last nite an notta SOUND all nite!

    * No reports of long hikes or failure to returns ... but then, he dint ASK, either.

    * Only *negative* wuz she still acts kinda "sluggish" an sleeps alot. She's bein *watched*.

She's got a long way ta go ta get off "probation" ... sure hope she duzint try to catch
da next bike rider that pedals past da ranch ... Momma Joan will do a melt down!

We're keepin our pawz crossed for more good reports.
    BEE-HAVE, Miz Molly!
