    Thursday #256-A Play date?

I need some help with the sand box......

I want to welcome you all to the Mario Memorial Play Area!

I cleared out the area below the patio and put in some swings, a slide, merry-go-round and the Mario Monkey Bars!

There is nothing better than a swing or a ride on a merry-go-round to keep me smiling.

I'll fire up the see-ment mixer for drinks. Banana Daquiris?

I think angel hair pasta is in order!

We have cherry and blueberry cheese cake, popcorn too?

Wouldn't some cotton candy be a hoot?

    --------------

    Lady,
Come here for some hugs. I know......I miss having someone hanging from the ceiling and pulling on my hair.

Excuse me, I need to go into the lost and found. There is something in my eyes.

    OMG!

Is that Bowser chasing the Monkey on the Merry-Go-Round!?

    GOOD JOB, Bar-Keep!
    < sniff >

Gosh, it must be the Santa Ana winds kicking up - they always make my eyes tear up.

Look - the swing is moving back and forth - but there is no one on it.

This is a wonderful play area you have created Richard - just perfect. I think all of us will be spending a lot of time here now that the weather is better.

A banana daiquiri - what a way to start the day.

Richard, dear, blueberries grow on bushes, not trees! Even the "high bush" berries are still very bush-shaped, just taller. We can, however, plant a blueberry patch in Mario's memory, and put a path to a bench in the middle. A big and comfy enough bench for whomever needs a resting place, complete with room for Lady and maybe the blue/orange cat!

I think what tree would be best for a Mario memorial would be a good crabapple tree. Why? Pretty flowers in the spring for a certain monkey to nibble for fun, and then, later in the summer, hard little apples that are good for lobbing at unsuspecting passersby and good twisty branches for climbing. How about that?

Grey rainy-ish day here, not to be boring, but chai, please?

I got those March winds in Chicago, the ones that bring the April showers, kicking up dust. <sniff> Here, I brought some bananas for smoothies, would anybody like one with me?

I'm bringing a Cherry tree... where's a good spot to plant it? Bartender, you decide!

Have just baked a huge loaf of bread, it's actually quite yummy - anyone want a slice? I'll take a Café con leche with that, please - and a drop of Grand Marnier in it.

    I miss him!

I'm still recovering from LES for Mario! A banana smoothie will help with the recovery. I love Mario's memorial play area and the dedication plaque. I may have to try the swing set after having some of Randi's delicious bread.

I think a banana daiquiri would taste really fine right now. Here's to you, Mario!
