I absolutely try to take Logan everywhere, as long as I'm not going to be in the store for long. If it's too hot or cold, i don't, but all she has to do is see her leash and she actually jumps up and down like a pogo stick!

I personally don't take the dogs in the car unless it is for a purpose ... a trip to the vet or a run in the desert. I just don't really care for riding in vehicles with dogs. I suppose if I took them more often, they would be calmer, but as it is, it is a BIG production for them and they are very hyper.

My husband, however, takes Lucky with him whenever he can ... to the post office, the store, to stop in at work. Hey, it's his truck ... he wants it full of dog hair, HE can clean it.

I try to give each dog a car trip once a month. Reggin and Indy have come to gether but they prefer their own days. Both will sit in the passenger seat either solo or on mine or Josh's lap. Zoe absolutely adores rolling around in the summer with the top down. She's a passenger seat kind of girl and is super well behaved. Henny has to go in Josh's Ford Ranger with the passenger seat removed because she just doesn't fit in my care. I'm looking to buy a Jeep this summer that I can just take the back seat out of permanantly.

Sequoia absolutely LOVES car rides. We take her everywhere we can during the winter months. Being a husky the cold isn't a problem at all for her. When we have meetings in the evenings for our State Animal Response Team we let her stay in the car because she is happier there than she is at home by herself. We try to take her somewhere she enjoys at least once a week. But you ask her if she wants to go on a car ride and she starts spinning circles and wooing and leaping about. Once she gets in the car she lies down in the back seat and takes a nap unless we start singing and then she will join in.

In the summer months we try and go on as many picnics as we can so she still gets car rides but we don't take her with us on errands. It is just too hot. In fact for her if it gets near 50 degrees and is sunny at all it is too warm in the car for her by herself. One of us then stays in the car with her.

Anywhere I go that I know they won't be sitting in the car most of the time (trips to gramma and grampa's house, gas station, the bank, drive-through, etc) I take them with me as much as possible. As far as fur goes... my car and truck are covered in it... but all of my friends have come to terms that they'll be covered in fur no matter what... lol.

My dogs are strapped in the back seat. Imagine if Autumn was with me when I got in that accident. If she weren't strapped in she'd have gone through the windsheild. Not a risk I'm willing to take for me or my dog.

It's very rare that both Robin, myself, and our daughter don't all go some where together, so they rarely get to sit in the front seat.. Unless of course on the strange occasion that I get to go some where alone, then I take them with me and let them sit in the front..

When we all go some where, if we are going to petsmart, or somewhere when its cool outside, and we are only going in for a few minutes we will bring one or two of them with us.. Usually just one though because our car is small, and we have the carseat.

All of our dogs like going bye bye except for Mercy.. It makes her nervous, but if I just take her by myself, she seems to enjoy it. She's attached to me at the hip.

I can't see how anyone here wouldn't take their dogs on car rides.

There aren't many dog-friendly places in my town, and I think they'd rather chill at home than wait around in the car for me, but they come with me to every pet store, park, dog park, and outdoor event.

I'll take them with me if I don't have to leave them in the car. I just don't like the fact them being left alone...who knows what will happen.

I'd rather leave them at home where they are happy and comfortable.

And they ride in their crates.

Yep if i am just running into the supermarket or going through a drive through i will take someone for some special 1 on 1 time (If it is not too hot or cold ).

If we are going somwhere dog related i will take all of them, unless it is the vets (Only those that have an appointment go).
