Thank you so much kt luvs kitties for posting the new link because I had tried the first link in the first post a few hours ago and it wasn't working. After reading everyone's posts about how cool it was, I was so disappointed that I couldn't see it but then I tried the link you posted tonight and I'm watching Zebras right now! Thanks!

I was spending so much time on it just watching the animals that I had to break the habit.

There's something swimming in the water hole! Can't tell if it's a lion or a hyena. How exciting!!

p.s. Oh my gosh, as soon as I finished typing this post and pulled up the Africam screen to look at it again, it was gone. I've had it on for hours waiting to see something appear and whatever it was has already left.

    Beat me to it! LOL!

I was working with my back to the computer and I heard a "SPOOSH!". First time ever seeing a hippo.

It's weird to see a hippo only spend a short time in the water. I thought they preferred it.

Darn it!!! I missed them this time. LOL
    How many were there?
Last night 6 zebras came onto the scene and one was a baby. It was such a treat.

4 best as I could tell. One got in the water and stayed there. Two larger ones and 1 smaller (a baby I think) stayed on dry land then eventually wandered off. The one in the water stayed there till daybreak then wandered off.

Ramanth, after I read I read your post I quickly opened the Africam and it was still dark at the water hole. I said to my husband, that looks like something in the water, maybe it's a hippo left over from the group that you had seen. It was so hard to tell because it was dark and the big 'spot' was right in the reflection of the tree. My husband said "no, that's just part of the tree reflecting in the water, you're seeing things."
That lump stayed still for so long that I started to think my husband was right and then all of a sudden he lifted his head and started moving. I said "I told you it was a hippo!!" That guy must have been sleeping in the water! LOL
We watched him until the sun came up too. Saw him have some breakfast and then waddle off. What a cutie!

Wow, this is amazing! It's the first time I'm able to view Africam.

There are lots of antilopes running around, some are standing in a beam of shade. The first thing I saw was a zebra rolling around in the grass next to her little one, and a few more are walking around in the background. Also, you can hear lots of birds singing.

They're all went back in the shade and 5 zebra's came too, they have just now gone to the watering hole. Aww, they're all beautiful!
