    A little vet humor

    VETERINARIAN IDENTIFICATION

A client brought a litter of puppies to my veterinary clinic for inoculations and worming. As the look-alike pups squirmed over and under one another in their box, I realized it would be difficult to tell the treated ones from the rest. I turned on the water faucet, wet my fingers, and moistened each dog's head when I had finished.

After the fourth puppy, I noticed my hitherto talkative client had grown silent. As I sprinkled the last pup's head, the woman leaned forward and whispered, "I didn't know they had to be baptized."

What a happy story to share - thank you!

I'm pretty sure all dogs (and cats) go to heaven - baptized or not!

    Very cute and funny.

Never thought of doing that for puppy ID. Usually we either let them all run around on the floor and put them back in the box/crate as we do them, or we have owners hold them as we do them if they have multiple helpers with them. Normally it's my job to keep them straight, so I usually start with the ones that look the most alike so the rest are a piece of cake after that. I'll have to remember this idea though.
