It MIGHT get up to the lower 50's today, low in the low 30's. Next week will be really cold though. Hot choc, egg nog, hot apple cider... all good but I need to find Slicks recipe for her very special chili!!! Man oh man is that stuff GUD!!! Let me putter around in the kitchen for the necessary spices and get going. *oh boy oh boy oh boy*

Just finished up a batch of Christmas cookies and some homemade fudge - enough for everybody; help yourselves.

How about some hot vanilla for me (my own recipe...when cocoa just won't do: Warm milk with vanilla, cinnamon sugar, and a sprinkle of nutmeg). I'll share if anyone is brave enough to join me.

    Missed you guys!

I'm brewing decaf coffee. It's Swedish coffee from IKEA and it has a good flavor. I'll lighten it with real milk today instead of the powdered stuff. I went there to look at TV stands, got a coffee to drink on the way home, and it was yummy, so I bought a package of the grounds. Mario, please hand me that green box of ginger cookies. They're good for dunking. IKEA has a neat food section! I could get gifts there.

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!

(comes up covered with tinsel with an ornament hanging from his ear) That was me. The ornament boxes made a surprise attack! I don't know where the smoke came from, but it smells like fireplace soot.

(knocks most of the tinsel off) I sure can use the help! Is it me or do we have MORE ornaments down there this year than last year? I think they're multiplying!

RICHARD, better a fire in the hearth than in the hills! It's about time it got a bit more Xmas-like. It's been sunny and 70's here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I haven't been around because eyes are watching at work - I've been warned so I'm *trying* to behave!

One nog of egg to go, please - I'm headin' home to try and become one with the flow of traffic - transcendentally yours - the little redhead
